The experimental and teaching center of the computer is a basic laboratory for the practice of the computer school which covers an area of 1100 square meters, located on the Library of the first floor B103 and the second floor of B204. The Center severed all of the students in the Xiyou University, which have 470 computers,12 service, 2T disc array, KMbps backbone network and 100Mbpst access to the internet. All of these equipments are worth around 6million RMB. There are 3 fixed staff and 8 part-time staff worked in the experimental center and they all have lots of experience of the teaching and practicing, which including 1 senior engineer and 1 engineer, 1 assistant engineer. The center have taken through the estimated by Education association of Shaanxi province, and also got the honor of qualified experimental.

The center has taken 42 courses experiment for all of the university and 400 thousands hours a year average. Except for the normal work of the students, the center also afford the teachers and students for the searching, practicing and browsing and so on, the center is most earlier one of the 24 hours experimental in the university.

In view of the computer basic course with strong practical features these years, the center has some new concepts of: pay more attention to the practice, deepening the knowledge, expending the ability. The center has pay lots of attention to exploring the effective way for educating the students with strong practice ability, and by these positively activities the center has becoming a pond of the professional for research and competition.
