The computer network laboratory was founded at the end of 1996, which is one of the professional labs of the Computer Department. The lab is located at the fourth floor of #2 Lab Building and covers 426 square meters. There are one associate professor, one senior engineer, one engineer, and 3 assistant engineers working in the lab.

The capital asserts of the lab values 2.2 million Yuan. The main hardware equipments include 9 CISCO3620 routers, 2 CISCO2621 routers, 2 BDCOM2721 routers, 9 CISCO2950 switches, 2 CISCO3500 switches, 2 CISCO3550 switches, 8 BDCOM3448 switches, 4 BDCOM3224 switches, 20 BDCOM2226 switches, 1 CISCO PIX 515E firewall, and 170 micro computers.

The lab is open for all the students of the institute. The main tasks of the lab is to accomplish the course experiments, including the courses The Foundation of Computer Networks, Computer Networks, Network Security Technology, Network Operating System, Network Layout and Design, Network Technology Application, Wireless Network Technology, Integrated Circuit Layout Engineering, etc. At the same time, the lab is also an important base for the students to complete their practical exercises, degree projects, open lab-works, technology training and other science activities.

The tenet of the lab is to provide a satisfaction practical teaching environment for all the teachers and students. The lab is working hard to improve and perfect the management, to make sure its running properly.
